PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

The Graduate Certificate in Industrial Ergonomics and Safety prepares students in the design and implementation of an effective human engineering/ergonomics effort within an occupational setting.

CURRICULUM

Total Credit Hours Required:
12 Credit Hours Minimum beyond the Bachelor's Degree

Required Courses—6 Credit Hours

  • EIN 5248C Ergonomics (3 credit hours)
  • EIN 6215 System Safety Engineering and Management (3 credit hours)

Elective Courses—6 Credit Hours

Choose two of the following courses:

  • EIN 6279C Biomechanics (3 credit hours)
  • EIN 6264C Industrial Hygiene (3 credit hours)
  • EIN 6270C Work Physiology (3 credit hours)

Application Requirements

Admission is open to those with a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering or a closely related discipline from a regionally accredited institution. An application to the graduate certificate program and official transcripts must be submitted. Applicants must apply online. All requested materials must be submitted by the established deadline.
