After earning his BS in Mechanical Engineering from the Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston, and working as an engineer for GE around the world for six years, George Gramatikas formed Turbine Technology Services (TTS) in 1983. As president and CEO, he realized the importance of having a formal understanding of management practice. When Gramatikas sold TTS to Teleflex Corporation in 2000 he decided to fill the gap in his formal management training and entered the Executive MBA program at UCF. He graduated from the program in 2004 and joined five other EMBA alumni from TTS who have graduated the program since 1992. “Overall, we have far exceeded our pre-EMBA abilities using the edge the Executive MBA program gave us,” he shares.
A graduate of the Executive MBA program, Margie Weissgerber enjoyed her experience in the program. "The Executive MBA program is first class. The professors and staff are extremely helpful and do what is necessary to help you succeed," she says. "The energy faculty displayed was contagious." Weissgerber also feels that the international experience offered to students in the program was an exceptional opportunity to meet with industry leaders from other countries.
Todd Albers recently returned from an internship experience abroad. As part of the Executive MBA program, he was able to meet with various management leaders in China. “ What an amazing experience! What I like most about UCF is its future. Your education is an investment, much like a financial investment. If I am going to invest in something, I am looking for something that has huge long-term future growth expectations. UCF has that future.”Albers graduated from the Executive MBA program in spring 2007.
