Foard Jones, PhD

Foard Jones, PhD, is the Associate Dean for Graduate Studies in the College of Business Administration. He received his PhD in Human Resource Management from the University of Georgia. He joined UCF in 1989 and has served on numerous college and university-wide service committees.

Dr. Jones’s research area is Human Resource Management, and he is widely published on that topic. He has won several awards for his teaching, including the Teaching Incentive Program Award, the Carl H. Galloway Faculty Performance Incentive Award, and the Faculty Leadership Award. He was integral to the initiation and design of the EDC’s PMSM program—the Professional Master of Science in Management.

Stephen H. Goodman, PhD

Stephen H. Goodman, PhD, is Associate Professor and Chair of the Management Department in the College of Business. He received both the MBA and PhD in Business Administration from Pennsylvania State University. In addition, he also holds undergraduate degrees in Electrical Engineering and Aeronautical Engineering. Prior to joining UCF, he spent 12 years at The Ohio State University and Florida State University.

Dr. Goodman’s teaching and research are concentrated in the areas of Quality Management, Production/Operations Management, and Management Science. He is the author or co-author of more than 50 scholarly papers and articles in these areas, co-author of two management textbooks, and co-editor of a management readings book.

Dr. Goodman has maintained strong involvement with the business community through a variety of consulting engagements. He has also contributed to his profession through seminars and training courses for practitioners in the field of production/operations management. In addition to his academic credentials, he has achieved the distinction of being a Certified Fellow in Production and Inventory Management (CFPIM), the highest level of professional certification awarded by the American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS).>

Shannon Taylor, PhD

Shannon Taylor, PhD, teaches undergraduate and graduate level courses in the area of Organizational Behavior in the College of Business Administration. His research focuses on abusive and unethical behavior in the workplace and the evolution of these behaviors over time. His publications include articles in the Academy of Management Review, Journal of Applied Psychology, Journal of Management, Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes, Journal of Organizational Behavior, and Journal of Occupational Health Psychology. His work has also been featured in the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, Time, and MSNBC.

Dr. Taylor enjoys interacting with students both in and outside of the classroom. “I try my best to encourage students to participate in class by sharing their work experiences. This often helps bring academic concepts to life,” he explains. He also appreciates the strong leadership as well as the collegial atmosphere of the management department.

Dr. Taylor holds a BS in Finance from Bradley University and a PhD in Business Management with an emphasis in Organizational Behavior and Research Methods from Louisiana State University. Before joining the faculty at UCF, he was an Assistant Professor at Northern Illinois University.
